How do I tell my friends and family i dont want to be here anymore ?
That they are the only reason I havnt crossed the threshold and open that door
I am exhausted from trying to find the silver lining in every cloud
The loneliest person in the crowd
I am the little girl passed around
Screaming, yet gagged and bound
Stop complimenting on my smile
This life has held me small and so defiled
Always likeable, never loved

We have all felt that feeling, and still do at times. It's a part of growth, and often indicates that you're evolving from where you are to where you'll be. The in-between, liminal spaces are often, if not always, the loneliest places to be - and must be lived in faith.

I identify perhaps a tad too intimately with your beautifully honest poem. Keep cleansing your soul through your poetry. You are definitely among kindred spirits here on DUP. Pheeew! I made it through without complimenting you are your brilliant smile. This to shall pass...it always does for me and I have enough life under, and a bit over, my belt to have tested, reoeatedly, that adage. Bravissima!
