ice skater

the cold winds
kissed her cheeks,
giving her the illusion
of blushing,

her silent figure
traveled
over the ice
for hours,

the music played
softly for her
in sweet
hushed tones,

she refused
to relinquish
her dance, as
the approving moon
watched over her.
