They've Landed -- Don't Panic

At the bottom of the garden
gleams a ship from outer space
They've come back
to keep us company
to save the human race
 
With technology that's smarter
they've abolished wars and greed
There's no money on their planet
and everything is free
 
The weather gets controlled
so the skies are always blue
No-one catches colds
and sneezing is taboo
 
They don't eat fish or meat
your dinner's just a pill
you take one every day
but two can make you ill
 
Having sex
is rather different though
as gender's not an issue
and with boys and girls the same
no-one needs a tissue
 
Permissions are required
to begin your family
though kids are strictly rationed  
to one offspring for each knee
 
They've a trillion tricks to teach us
so much thinking to improve
but wait they're taking off again
Earth needs too much work to do
 
Yet we mustn't feel despondent
nor let our hopes outweigh our fears
because they've promised to fly back again
in half a billion years
