Dancing With Death

Of late
Every night i go to bed
I wonder
If i'll wake up dead
This fear
Nightly grows much deeper
That i'll awaken
To the presence of the grim reaper
I'd like to ask
About the reapers strife
Does the reaper fear
That they'll wake up alive?
No doubt
Their job is a thankless task
But i would ask for a delay
Sure that it doesn't hurt to ask
And if not
Is there a heaven, or hell
Perhaps the reaper
Would show, and tell
And what if
I had nowhere to go
What's it like
In the land of limbo
Would i still
Have to pay the ferryman
As i wouldn't be travelling
Neither up, nor down
And would i get
That one chance
To try my best
At a limbo dance
