Sensate Awakening

like a matched spoon
nestled beside me
your head
on my shoulder

in that zone between
sleep and wakefulness
drifting in and out of
semi consciousness

lazily caressing perky nipple
squeezing releasing
approaching pain
withdrawing

a soft moan
we nestle closer
flesh
merging

twinges alternate with
surges
trans forming
into urges

subtle scent
desire blends
with sweat
and faint perfume

gently twisting
firmly clockwise
counterclockwise
clockwise

each rotation
approaching limit
never quite exceeding
that somewhat flexible boundary

breathing in synchrony
soft breaths
becoming shallower
faster

your hand
mindlessly drifts down
stoking
rigid desire
