Image for the poem Dancing

Dancing

Her limbs fill the air with fluid embrace,
She smiles to the sky; eyes filled with grace.
Each step tells a story of pain or grief.
In the arms of a love, she’ll find relief.

Her body smooth sets hearts at ease.
But soon she’ll find new ways to see.
In each step a tale of passion spun,
Her beautiful spirit will soon be won.

Author's Note
Found this little poem that must have been written when mother was following me around as part of a dance team in junior high. She seems to be anticipating my future. Found a pic from that time and edited to protect the privacy of the other girls. I'm on the far left.
