Promiscuous Shawl - with Grace

Promiscuous in shawls and cloaks
aroused by winds of wildwood folk
Autumn sleeves patchwork dreams
scattering leaves above the knees
beyond streams of Blue Wood Asters
moving shadows on nature's casters
ode to the winter's running maple sap
keeping sleeves of trees under wrap
as if with a measuring stick on cue
nature slips on a new pair of shoes

Cold wind blows now shaking old bones
blazing colours now but it’s just autumn
the season when death comes after
grabbing leaves of memories fall
the inevitable always arrives without fail
the colorful delight feasts of the eyes
but the warmth of summer begins to diffuse
I think of moments of harvests
think of him who carries a scythe
heavy robes around his dark figure
