Risk
my sadness swell within me
I ache in the moment
dwelling inside the darkness of shadows
your figure over me hesitated
then reach in and gave me your love
it was a secret confession from your soul to mine
I took you to my inner woman
so you would know I love you in my sacredness
heart of my heart
I know you
because you trust me
I wish I was what you wanted
fate was cruel to us
close enough just to touch
and no more
inside my sorrow, you are a bright spot
lighting up my darkness
with your heart shine
stirring feelings of tenderness
come closer darlin'
I won't reject you
jaded trust in the hollow spaces
a scarred terrain
I am willing to make the journey
I've weighed the risks
I'm in love with you

Hell of a risk, and worth it. Well... lol.. not always BUT for the sake of the poem and rose colored glasses, yes it is. I can't really say much, I got some skin in the game.. haha. So I wanna be on the good side of that risk.

Such a perfect title. I've always admired the risk takers. It's scary, but the rewards are great. Once again you've managed to capture that whole circumstance with poetic grace and artistry. You should consider publishing.

good morning dearest poet thank you some risks work out some work as lesson learned from of the risks I've taken in my youth I'm fortunate to be alive...I was something of a daredevil...publishing I want a publishing house to publish me I really don't want to self publish...thank you for the beautiful thought 💕

You balance on the tightrope of life so perfectly whether you realize it or not. Even in your pain you are willing to risk for love and happiness.
I admire the hell out of you.
And, I agree … you should publish. Any publisher would be a fool not to accept your work.

regardless of experiences or past trauma, we sometimes hesitate. Your stanza here reassures that one individual that it's ok. Trust is a difficult thing to build, and it takes time.
