Sleeplessly Asleep
I sometimes dream
When i'm awake
As a myriad images
Rise
From the depths of my subconcious
As i drift off
And oft get lost
Within my daydream world
It's now early morn
And i'm still wide awake
As my thoughts permeate
The silent stillness
Of a cold winters morning
As i lie here in hope
That my eyes will close
And i'll drift off
Into a wonderful
Sometimes pleasant
Often times scary
World of sleeping dreams
No matter how tired i am
My brain
Whirrs, and ticks
As i await
The welcoming heavy eyelids moment
That will eventually
Result in sleep
Maybe i'm already asleep
And i'm simply dreaming
That i'm awake?
