Author's Note
This shows what pride can do to the mind, in a sort of extreme example of someone that's out of control in their ego, arrogance, and haughtiness. Thinking you're better than others, or looking down on others, will always result in an entirely observable characteristic to someone's personality. Anyway, this goes through some of what is a part of that component in someone's development. The 7th stanza shows the fruit of it, and the 8th stanza is the reminder to be repentant.
