The borderline

We live in a time of wonder
Useful tech is they rhyhme of our time
But I think that it is needed
That we draw a borderline
 
The emergence of AI
Brought this foremost to my mind
Celebrated replacement of humans?
I think this is so unkind
 
Just because it can be done
To replace us one by one
Doesn’t mean that many things
Shouldn’t remain the domain of man
 
We can not all sit around all day
And write books and poetry
We need something worthwhile to do
Should this be taken from me and you?
 
I say the clear answer is no!
Stop this madness while we can!
Don’t replace us one by one!
Let some tasks remain in our hand!
 
We have a choice, to say: “Yes we can!
But we should not do this!
These things should always be done by a human!”
 
And I hope we will have wisdom
In this age of greatest wonder
Let it please not pull us under
 
One day we must stop the trade show
 
Have the courage to say no
