Lost

Trying to find myself
I look in my mirror
unrecognizable eyes
look back at me
a smile
then a frown
I don't know who I see

questions in my mind
emotional scars
why am I even in this world?

Trying to find
where I belong
I search deep inside
the depths of my subconscious
unkindled passion burns
like a fiery furnace

trying to see myself,
who I truly am,
I try to go back
to that moment in time
when the eyes in the mirror
looking back at me
was indeed the man you see.
