Bramble
The gnarled bramble of human emotion,
it grows wild in mysterious configurations,
around the heart's secret sins.
Sometimes my emotions mutate,
into complex feeling lacking names.
Distorted haunting feelings without
explainable frames.
Yet you breeched the tangled me.
In stark desperation to find,
the entrance to my naked mind.
Enter the mist of my glossy abyss,
deeper than my bones.
Behold my glowing mysteries,
like a gurgling creek's hidden stones.
it grows wild in mysterious configurations,
around the heart's secret sins.
Sometimes my emotions mutate,
into complex feeling lacking names.
Distorted haunting feelings without
explainable frames.
Yet you breeched the tangled me.
In stark desperation to find,
the entrance to my naked mind.
Enter the mist of my glossy abyss,
deeper than my bones.
Behold my glowing mysteries,
like a gurgling creek's hidden stones.

The bramble in the forest always looks like what I picture an entanglement of feelings to look like, that we hide inside.

The feeling of having an emotion without being able to give it a name and describing it as a bramble is very familiar.
Friendly suggestion here might just be breaking the poem into a few stanzas. They don’t have to have the same number of lines, but just organize them by thought. It could help the reader shift from one idea to the next with the narration.

Thank you for your kind feedback, I agree, it might be an easier read broken into stanzas. I tend to use no stanzas, which is strange, lol but I like hearing what people are thinking!

Yeah it looks great! It really gives each thought its own deserved attention so the reader can linger for a moment and take it in and then move to the next thought and appreciate that one too. Like taking a bite of ginger before the next piece of sushi!

OMG, I can't get past that first line: The gnarled bramble of human emotion,
THE GNARLED BRAMBLES OF HUMAN EMOTION?! Holy fuckballs D-bear, that is delicious!
Using this image to gently weave in a disentanglement between two people learning one another is really incredible. The poem was really well done, but that first line... YES. Just YES. So good!
You kick ass, girlee.
