Acceptance and Contentment

Just accept that
in the vast tapestry of life
nothing is what it seems
a shining thread is just a thread
its glowing hues may soothe us
and that heal our tired souls

it is acceptance to determine
to live through our struggles
to face our fears and tears
to find that little joy from contentment
from all our small achievements
satisfaction for a job well done

it is acceptance that happiness blossoms
for others with treasures they unearth
though none for us as we pass them by
life may have not bestow us with fortune
no matter how hard we strive
but there are pleasures in other ways

just embrace life with love
to others be gentle and kind
create a sanctuary at home
where we can lay down our head
with absolute contentment
and leave all worries outside

so enjoy the whispering wind
the sun's warm embrace
create a  peaceful haven within our heart
take shelter there from life's worries
dance with endless joy
to life's sweet refrain.
