I Made Fire
Yesterday, I ignited a flame,
In the woods where I had lost my way.
The chill of the hike didn't cause me distress,
A touch of rust, not worried, I must confess.
Awaiting rescue from the wild I braved,
The fire's warmth sparked thoughts, and I craved
To glimpse prehistoric life's ancient lore,
Imagining the first touch, what it held in store.
Picture the awe of mortal mankind's first fire,
From peril to power, a transformative desire.
In the dance of flames, nature harnessed and tamed,
A force benevolent, not to be blamed.
Wrapped in warmth, I whispered, "I made fire,"
A magician's delight, fulfilling my deepest desire.
Human existence, fragile amidst nature's raw might,
Beneath modern layers, our primal core takes flight.

Human existence, fragile amidst nature's raw might,
Beneath modern layers, our primal core takes flight.
