HARD OR SOFT?
Sometimes I have
trouble making
up my mind;
especially with
regards to choices;
and especially if
both are to me
equally desirable.
"Hard or Soft?"
the server asked
as I was trying to
choose an ice cream.
I replied, "A little of
both in the same cup."
Hard and soft will
eventually become one.

I think this is one of those poems that could be equally read with an erotic tone or with an innocent one about the difficulty of making even the most mundane or absurd life choices. I prefer the former over the latter.

People should know better by now than to offer up such suggestive remarks your way, good sir! I bet you smiled at the ice cream attendant when they asked that question. You know... you should have said, "Excuse me?!" That would have been really cool! Soft & hard will eventually become one, I think you mean really. ;-)
