You Love Me, But It's Time to Part

You professed love through the years, my dear,
Yet doubts lingered, a silent torrent of tears.
I clung to your words, entranced by the pledge,
Blind to emotions on love's precarious edge.

Our love, a solitary flame, sought to ignite,
A dance of hearts lost in the shadows of the night.
Your soul's tenderness, elusive as a whispering breeze,
Consideration for my feelings, a fleeting tease.

Embraces shared were fleeting, moments profound,
Yet beneath it all, your pleasure echoed, unbound.
Yearning for reciprocity, a wish cast in vain,
For your genuine effort, a loving refrain.

Silence unfolds a reality, stark and cold,
Within your grip, love's story left untold.
With a heavy heart, I yearn to soar high,
Leaving you, bleeding inside, a silent cry.

Time to part has come, to spread my wings,
Into the vast, free sky, where my heart sings.
I'll fly, leaving behind pain that sears,
It's time to move on, conquering my fears.
