The Storm

A storm is approaching.
You are watching as it begins to arise…

You watch out the window as the sun fades and disappears behind the darkest clouds.
The thunder cracks, a noise so loud.
You visualize the upcoming downpour just before it begins to fall.
Raindrops fall upon the ground beneath your feet, so small.

… The storm continues to rage on.
You wonder if this will last until dawn.
The thunder rolls across the hills as lightning strikes the ground.
Lying in your bed, you look out the window, listening to the wondrous (thunderous) sound.

This storm: So lovely, enchanting, and wondrous, yet so unfriendly, powerful and wicked…
What makes a more magnificent ballad?

The volume of the storm rises
With each gust of wind, a flash of lightning materializes.
You begin to ask yourself, as the rain continues to fall …
Is Mother Earth furious at us all?
