His goodbye
The night was dark and dreary
As he sits and sips his whiskey
I can see why he likes this so much
The sound of silence while he stands to grab another glass from the hutch
But still no one knows what really goes on
How the calm causes the storm
The world we once knew no longer exists
And our loved ones will always be missed
People say that with night comes peace
But with it just comes more deceased
And the number of people decrease
Will this pain ever cease
The world we live in is full of heartache and cocaine
While others can except that pain
Others willingly fall
Sad isn’t it?
That night struck horror for us all
That night his darkness was overcome
By the sound of sirens and the ambulance lights
As he muttered his final goodbye
And even to this day
Despite his unpresence
I still get a sense
That he’s here but not here at all
As he sits and sips his whiskey
I can see why he likes this so much
The sound of silence while he stands to grab another glass from the hutch
But still no one knows what really goes on
How the calm causes the storm
The world we once knew no longer exists
And our loved ones will always be missed
People say that with night comes peace
But with it just comes more deceased
And the number of people decrease
Will this pain ever cease
The world we live in is full of heartache and cocaine
While others can except that pain
Others willingly fall
Sad isn’t it?
That night struck horror for us all
That night his darkness was overcome
By the sound of sirens and the ambulance lights
As he muttered his final goodbye
And even to this day
Despite his unpresence
I still get a sense
That he’s here but not here at all
