Mistakes Of The Past

We often think, if we could change the past, We would be happy, content, no regrets.
But changing past mistakes, only opens the door, For new and greater hurt, no more, less.
How often we think, we learned the lesson, That each mistake has taught, Only to repeat them again, and again.
At which point is the lesson for naught?
How many times must we go through this chaos?
Until we learn, to alter old patterns of hurt?
Why continue to make the same regrets, As each mistake repeated is sure to bring?
When do we see through lies, and deceit?
To the truth that lies within?
Are we ever to say, enough? !
This is where my life will begin.

It takes a very big person,
To admit when they were wrong,
To possibly tell another that they were right, In word or possibly even, a sweetly sung love song.
To stand up and admit ones failings, Isn't that easy of any human task, But the feeling of another's forgiveness, Is what really, will come at last.

To admit you are wrong should not be a sign of weakness
It is indeed a fortress of the strong
To swallow your pride of you does seem so noble And to a rare breed you surely belong.
Just goes to show that you are not pigheaded
One brave enough for to apologize
To admit you are wrong it may seem rather humbling
But to a better self it does give rise.
To admit you are wrong always takes heaps of courage To say I'm wrong should not be a loss of pride
To deny truth is more of a sign of weakness Behind a falsehood one should never hide.
To admit you are wrong is nothing to feel ashamed of To apologize should shows how brave you are
You are one not lacking in moral courage And moral courage in life it can take you far.

The biggest mistake anyone can make, Is admitting not wishing to be perfect.
And daring publicly to acknowledge, That being a human being can be challenging.
With attempting to do this, Without pretensions to charade.
In a comfort that accepts, Nothing else.
Since approval to be who one is,
And thankful about it...
Is a success to have achieved.
That leaves one proud to be able, To admit mistakes made.
Blemishes and flaws.
Corns on toes.
And a dislike for imitators.
Limiting their lives to live deluded.

Look, admit a mistake is admirable,
At this time living a life is really miserable.
Building and rebuilding true relationships not easy,
All in unity.
Still life moves on
With status quo fun.
And still we are sensitive
To take the world all positive.
Let all think all the best

Excuse me, no time to test.
Just admit a mistake and live with hashtag.
That will say “I’m the best” ❤️
