unnoticed
A trip
unhidden
The fall
well toasted
twice roasted
glib
boredom ridden

A crack
A split
A certain sarcasm
a venom
in each
molecule of spit

The penny drops
what big reveal?
The straw
that broke
the camel’s back,
just something else’s meal

And the carrion
the crows
the maggots
eat their fill
guano
on my flower bed
seems everyone’s
well fed
or comfortably dead
I wipe the flies
from my windowsill
