How could I be
so naive?
I thought that you
would understand
so I told you
and you alone
the truth
Everyone else
only knows lies
I don't even think
you know
the difference
between the truth
and the lies
I opened my heart
and my mind
and let you in
Why didn't you
warn me
that you don't care
that you can't
give me any help
or rescue me
from this deep hole
I have fallen into

These words leave me with a questions. The biggest being was the person mentioned the one who put you in the hole? Could it have been a hole you were digging even before he/she showed up? Indeed if she/he was responsible to creating the hole it would probably be pointless to look toward that same person to get you out. Ah the places the heart takes us where the brain says "danger"!
