Not Enough?...

Passion & Pain is the title of my second book for a reason. For the better part of the last 25 years I have felt this poem pulsing through my veins while asking the same questions. As if there was some natural order to the universe that would balance things out... You have to make the balance happen, otherwise someone else gets your pile of happiness and you keep getting the left overs that they dump in the trash. If life sucks, put something in your glass that makes it worth making the glass half empty and keep the refills coming... You've been drinking what you don't want because other people spit in your glass. It's time you did some dumping of your own and pour some sweet nectar in your chalace till it reaches the rim and let it rain into your soul until all that you thirst for is quenched. Let go of the past that holds your back and put your arms around the future you desire. You always have the choice to let go of anything unsatisfying, you just have to learn how to release when the time is right.
Maybe the next time you say "not enough", it will be after drinking the nectar of life and you will crave more, or maybe it will be after releasing a little bit of pain that you realized felt so good you want to release more and more. Sometimes what you want to let go of is the same thing you want more of, just another flavor to savor in your glass of passion fruit nectar.
