BEGIN A NEW STORY
Enough old grain
on barren plains
Old tyres worn
by the years
Steer this soul
to a place of plenty
where love is free
and joy is the very air
you breathe
Take this man
to the pleasures
too often denied
let the sunshine
burn the clouds away
Rules upon rules
lies upon lies
no more excuses
to keep the poet
more dead then alive
I return to the reasons
I had long forgotten
in the rhythm of your song
and the touch of your lips
Let me make
a story
for us
to live in
A story
where sorrow
has been banished
and beauty
takes hold of time
and makes all
eternal
Reach for my hand
the new is here
