The Contrary Fairy

The contrary Fairy
Had her wings clipped
Thus could fly no more
As she felt
That she identified as Pixie
Rather than Fairy
It was a difficult transition for her
As she was used to flying everywhere
But now, as a Pixie
She had to lasso a cat
As her new mode of transportation
Other Pixies, born Pixie
Were mostly accepting of her
But some were not
And thought she should remain as her birth status
And that they would always see her as Fae
And just because she no longer could fly
Didn't mean she had the right
To identify as Pixie
Yet in her heart
She felt as though she had always been Pixie
And shared the same mischeavous mannerisms
As the majority of Pixies
And on her journey
She was surprised
Perhaps ironically
That there were many Pixies
That identified as Fairies
And one that identified as a goose
But later declared themselves as Pan
And took to playing a pipe
