Clever and amusing, kind of Ogden Nash-ish, with a bit of Stevie Smith. For some reason it makes me think of an old Laurel and Hardy film where the thin one gets a knock on the head that makes him think he’s a fancy pants, and is horrified when the fat one tells him that they met sweeping roads.

Keenly observed. It takes a person to recognise another person - otherwise we are all just disconnected 'unpeople' (which is how our rulers prefer it -- Thatcher's "There's no such thing as society")
