I love the vulnerability displayed here between the positive and negative aspects of experience. It's a very relatable poem with an outcome that takes you straight into the season.

I remember arriving home with my grandson one day and becoming irritated because the lawn man had not cut the grass. There were dandelions everywhere. I was reaching for my phone to contact him when my grandson said, "NANA! LOOK! LOOK, NANA! WISH FLOWERS! WISH FLOWERS EVERYWHERE!"

I thought, "Shit." and felt so humbled by the beauty that a child saw. I had myself taught him of the "wish flowers" and definitely needed to remember that lesson. I put my phone back in my purse and we went into the yard and wished on every single one.

Oh, Ahavati that is such a wonderful memory, I am so glad you shared it with me. I try to look at the dandelions as flowers and not weeds, but it's sometimes difficult. Though since the rabbits eat them, I feel I should let them go.

I love snow.
I love the way it looks, feels and smells. And now that I don’t drive anymore, I love that I don’t have to brush it off the car. I also have someone to shovel it.
Life couldn’t be better.
