Berkana

Soon
The moon slept
Joined by
The Runic Berkana
Whilst the silhouette
Of a Birch tree
Stood alone
Sweeping the midnight sky
With a gentle flourishing
Brush of her emerald leaved branches
So Mother Earth
Could moon gaze
Upon the Luna beauty
Seemingly suspended
In dark space
A lone owl
Stood perched
Upon the birch
Eyes blinking
The vibrant moon
Reflected within her eyes
Yet she remained silent
And unmoving
The beautiful Berkana
Ennammoured of the Runic Moon
And her sleeping sister Earth
Fell into a dreamy sleep
Full of wild imaginings
The owl took flight
Screeching into the depths
Of a darkening night
As shadows fell over the Moon
And soon
A sylvan dewy dusk
Caused
The beautiful Berkana
To fade away into her own fantasy
