Bittersweet Brew: A Poet's Intoxication

In the dim-lit refuge of the coffee shop's embrace,
A poet, intoxicated on more than just the brew,
His verses spilled like spilled whiskey on the page,
A narrative of affairs, love's elusive pursuit.

The waiter, a fleeting muse in apron attire,
Yet in his gaze, the poet found no solace.
For love was a fragile vessel, shattered by ghosts,
A haunted heart, unable to embrace.

In the dance of spilled confessions and coffee stains,
Their rendezvous echoed with laughter and pain.
Yet, the poet's heart, a fractured melody,
Played the chords of love's bittersweet refrain.

The waiter, a canvas of patience and grace,
Unbeknownst to the poet's emotional maze.
In each stolen glance, a story untold,
Of a broken bard, too wounded to behold.

The coffee shop's symphony, a backdrop to despair,
As the poet drowned sorrows in the bitter air.
The waiter's touch, a salve on scars unseen,
Yet love's specters lingered, a constant, haunting sheen.

In the hallowed space where words and coffee blend,
A poet's heart, a labyrinth that could not mend.
Affairs of the heart, a poignant, drunken verse,
A tale of a poet, and a love forever cursed.
