The Things I See
Sometimes I look out my window,
and I see some pretty strange things.
Like the monster shaking an elf’s hand,
it was just the shape of the trees.
Or the time I saw a moose with wings,
grazing on the grass in our front yard.
It was just a bunch of over-grown brush,
my imagination is so bizarre!
Last year I saw a giant deer head,
along the edge of the pond,
dipping down for a long cool drink,
a strange outline in the lawn.
And today while walking with my son,
he said, "Look, I see a rabbit over there."
but it was just a lump of snow against a tiny tree.
Hmm, I wonder if I am rubbing off on my family.
