THE MOON AND HER STARS

 
Being outside in the dark seems to  be therapy on it's own. Just looking at the beautiful moon and thinking of your face brings me warmth. The sky twinkling like that beautiful smile you wore until your last days. The moon looks as beautiful as you were, it makes me feel closer to you. Full moon days are my favourite, they get me looking forward to dawn all day, when you'll rise up with the sun going down. I feel whole when the moon is fully and gracefully sharing it's light with the rest of the world at night, and the star twinkling so brightly and beautifully filling my entire body with goosebumps. It's this kind of nature that makes me feel closer to you.

I am reminded everyday that the heavens stole you from me. They never let me say the things that I was waiting to tell you, but an hour or two in the dark with the moon and her stars with me pouring out my heart is what gets me going the following day. It's what gets me through my days. The moon listens and stars grace my heart with their twinkle. I am complete with them around, as I was with you around. I wish I had told you just how much I love you before you departed to the other side, I wish I had the power to summon you back and pour out my heart but now all I can do is wish upon those and pass my messages through the moon and her stars. Everytime I talk to them, I can feel them listening just like how you used to.
