AI The Flower Girl

I was telling someone the other day
As we looked over a pond in the local park
Appreciating the beauty of the water lillies
And the magical dragonflies
And i told her
That this reminded me
Of a setting in Frankenstein
Of a scene by a river
Where Frankenstein's monster
Meets a young girl
Who is totally unafraid of him
The monster
Seems to appreciate the nature around them
And when the girl throws a flower
Into the flowing river by them
The monster
Seeing the girl as another flower
Picks her up
And throws her into the river
Where she drowns
The monster
Doesn't understand
Why the girl doesn't float
There was no deliberate malice
In this act
Yet it is profoundly devastating
As both were innocent of any malicious intent
AI
Could be equally as cold as the monster
Mankind could become
That flower girl....
