Jack from the back

Jack From The Back
By Michael McManus

Brave sailor Jack, upon the shore he stands,
With weathered face and steady loyal hands.
He's seen the world, its wonders and its storms,
Now walks away from ships to other forms.

The sea's his love, its secrets in his eyes,
But now, beneath the boundless open skies
He'll find a different life on solid ground
As waves and wind no longer keep him bound.

With memories of adventures on the sea
He'll find new journeys, new horizons he,
Though ships may fade, the sailor's heart stands strong,
As Jack walks away, no more his salty song.

Jack from the back. Soft Pastel.
