The Kiss

Gold spattered on the walls,
a meadow filled with flowers,
two lovers wrapped in abstract,
in the early morning hours.

She’s lying by his side,
a tiara of flowers woven through her hair,
swept up in his strong embrace,
these moments of love so rare.

He cups her delicate face,
as she closes her eyes in bliss,
forever, never to speak,
he brushes her cheek with a kiss.
