Me

Tell them what you have seen of me,
old friend. Tell of what she did to me.

A broken leaf washed out to sea.
Blown asunder and left to bleed.

Show what love had done to me,
old friend. Let no one feel the same.

No one wants what she did to me.
Scorched and burnt in fires heat.

Fell down the seven gates of hell,
I did. I knew my life was sealed.

Love until the end of time,
I will. Without a guide or shield.

I wait each day for a word to hear
All night, I wait for a glimpse, a tear.

The day I don't hear her voice
My heart wilts, my life I fear.

When will she stop killing me?
I pray. Does she even listens to me?

I'll tell them all about you,
my friend, my heart feels for thee.

Your body withered and left for dead
Shattered on the alter of love I see.

Why did you let her do this to you?
My friend. You could have ran with me.

You had the choice to flee. Instead,
you kissed the flame and lost your head.

Don't blame the night which shows the stars,
Old friend. Don't blame the sun that scars.

Her love was more than I could stand.
And fate just spoke and shown its hand.

Just pray for me when you pray at night
When stars shine out and spew their light.

Just tell them what you have seen of me,
old friend. Just tell of what she did to me.
