Intertwined

She runs her finger
over the tempestuous edge of the Moon,
callous pad turn to nail,
the residue effect
seeks out to surface skin raw
remind it we're alive,
and I
lick the pain from her collarbones,
dance over bone,
linger where her flesh has gains,
spiral on her grace,
spine elevated, my gaze,
hungered and magnified,
this laced web
of our interweaved space.
I call back
the miles between this place
where we'd been
emerging as individuals,
filled elements of not enough
bound to liquid energy,
the delectible taste.
It would be enough
to sigh into gloom
but we don't,
don't give in,
instead resume,
bestow diction to experience,
become looming planets,
colliding,
feeling
thrashing in a way
until she reaches
for magnanimous night,
becomes a star
bursting with uncontainable light.
