Tea Reflections

Grandmas kitchen was quaint
Quiet, quintissential
Simplicity of times
Taken with quality
Over excessively
Bit and brack-full cupboards.

Cozy winter nights
Were overheated
Till claustrophobic
With indoor temps high
In the mid 80s.

Then memories
Return to nows
Neither bitter
Nor sugary.

Falls forests
Are colored
Brighter hues,

Deep blued
Calm clear

Sky.

I only knew one of my grandmothers. Did not know my grandfathers at all. Anyway, to pause and reflect over a cup of tea on a pleasant Fall day is essential food for good poesy thoughts. Thanks for reading!!
