for the love of dogs

Over the bay a rainbow dripping colors
into turquoise water, nothing can be that beautiful
if there is no prize to pay without the  horror
of a gruesome sight.
A terrible smell from the flat below that was odd
they went on holiday to Greece and left the dog alone
in the flat with water in a dish and biscuits
not to forget some toys.
It took days before someone broke down the door
and set the dog free from its hot sticky hell
Some people do not have the capacity to understand
a dog is a loved member of the family.
If this is not possible, get a Barbie doll.
