EVENING VIEW
On the balcony the couple were
looking out over Chelsea Harbour,
silhouetted by the bedroom's light
as daylight retreated into night.
They stood bare legged, in towelling robes.
He, tenderly, nibbling her ear lobes.
She straightened up, eyes closed, loved-up smile,
while his hand massaged through her hairstyle,
then leaned her shoulders against his chest;
his arm wound round her, hand under breast.
He grew more ardent and they nuzzled,
her moaned response could not be muzzled
as into the night air it echoed,
unaware they'd be taped on record.
Then someone took the pic that would flag
around the world that the two would shag,
before they drew curtains and turned back,
the room's light offed, plunged their room in black
drawing a veil on the revealings
preceding more intimate dealings.
