Sleeping on Trampolines

soul searching like every night
I'm just trying to find the love of my life
reach into the broken place inside
the feeling of home so familiar and I

pray to gods that haven't answered
they intervene when I seek death, but
what's really happening to me?
how many times have I passed by the string?

Do you love me?
watching meteor showers
gazing up at the sky
through the branches of a canopy

if my life was as easy as it seems
we'd never have crossed one another
you hold me in your arms like a lover
sleeping on a trampoline

at my house like every night
you're just trying to find the love of your life
tell me about your broken place inside
the feeling of pain so familiar and I

pray to gods that haven't answered
they intervene when I seek answers
what's really happening to me?
do you know how you pull at my strings?

Do I love you?
I'm drying out roses
gazing up into your eyes
I'd do anything to make you smile

if our lives were as easy as they seem
we'd never have crossed one another
you hold me in your arms like a lover
sleeping on a trampoline
