Glimmer of Light

I wonder aimlessly threw the darkness hoping to find you. There are others walking a similar path but it doesn’t make it easier for me. I loose faith in finding you some times but I know this is what I have to do. When I finally gave up and decided on my last day, my last hour, you suddenly appeared. When I had lost all hope of finding the light, you grasped my hand and led me to the place I dreamt of. I then discovered happiness and you taught me how to smile. You took my heart and gave me yours. And just as easy as you came, you left. Leaving me here alone in the darkness. My heart bitterly ripped to pieces, lay on the ground before me. I try to put it back together but I can’t force myself to over come the unbearable pain. The thought of loosing my glimmer of light sickens me. I scream your name only to hear the lonesome echo. And again, I’m left wondering aimlessly.
