To rid a dwelling of bed bugs
one overheats the home
in Texas they've disovered,
to the utter delight of some,
if you heat the state, for months,
to one hundred and ten plus
you stand to rid a goodly portion
of the invasive Californicus

Based on an article I read about Califorians moving to Austin and finding the climate a tad more fierce than they supposed. *What I found interesting in another article about interstate migration was that California was the number one relocation spot for Texans. We've lasted for 17 years we'll stay a spell longer🤠

I spent a few months in Austin in the summer, autumn of 2009. The heat was very nearly unbearable, so I spent a lot of time in Zilker park and the Colorado River so cool to chill down in, sweaty cans of beer, three dollar joints dulling the emotional jagged edges. And October down to 17 degrees one night sleeping out in the Green Belt.
A very cool city but Texas as a whole? Horribilus, as Caesar might have said.
