A Firework

You light me up as a firework, an explosion of vibrancy and life, It's illuminating to feel this way. I thought I was a blanket for this planet. Suffocating the firework without the spark. I realise now, It's not about my lack but I was waiting for the perfect match.  To draw rainbows In the velvet drapes of darkness with your strokes of shades of pastel haze of iridescent colours. It gave me a spark whizzing, spinning a spiral of instantly recognisable magnificence. A peony, blasting up into the midnight sky erupting into a round ball of falling stars. I can hardly breathe I am free wheeling out of a charcoaled scene accepting your life is not all it seems and anticipating act three the characteristics of self love played tenderly without the sleight of your own hand .
