Golden
You
The mirage in the distance
Born of summer's heat
And more
Singular desire
Which moves heavens to align
Constellates stars
And twines deepest dreams
Of two
I long to see you again
Awake entwined with you
Feel your breath upon my skin
Your eyes looking up at me
In a sunrise smile
Lips parting for a kiss
The first blessing of my day
Beginning again
Where night gave way
You're beautiful
In plain and simple ways
Ways which speak to me
Beyond the telling of my words
Like sunshine after rain
Wild flowers glistening
When all is seen anew
Let your hair fall soft
About your face
My fingers running through golden waves
To so gently trace
The beauty I would hold
How does one say, "I love you"
With their soul
So beyond words
And I long to kiss you once more
The mirage in the distance
Born of summer's heat
And more
Singular desire
Which moves heavens to align
Constellates stars
And twines deepest dreams
Of two
I long to see you again
Awake entwined with you
Feel your breath upon my skin
Your eyes looking up at me
In a sunrise smile
Lips parting for a kiss
The first blessing of my day
Beginning again
Where night gave way
You're beautiful
In plain and simple ways
Ways which speak to me
Beyond the telling of my words
Like sunshine after rain
Wild flowers glistening
When all is seen anew
Let your hair fall soft
About your face
My fingers running through golden waves
To so gently trace
The beauty I would hold
How does one say, "I love you"
With their soul
So beyond words
And I long to kiss you once more
