A Challenge to Scrap Paper
It is not the fear of the blank page.
It is not the fear that my art won’t be good enough.
I have conquered those fears, mostly…
The real fear is revealing who I really am.
Writing in a journal.
Drawing in a sketchbook.
Thought made real,
tangible,
permanent.
Evidence enough to convict.
Exploring parts of me that I am afraid will be unacceptable,
judged.
Make this book a place where you will experiment,
explore
and
discover
more of the person you are.
