Teenagers

There’s nothing like a first love as a teenager
Every feeling so intense
Sitting on the swings for a first kiss
Every move made with innocence

From a first conversation
So scared and so shy
To holding hands
Refusing to say goodbye

Letters written between every class
Wearing hoodies covered in cologne
Waiting for the bus together
Sharing music with earphones

Feeling like you’re on cloud nine
A drug on its own
Nothing really quite hits
Especially when you’re grown
