the hollow of a gaping hole
the echo of an empty soul
the hunger of an empty life
where destitutions rife
a life tangeantial
inconsequential
and at no time reverential
no time to do what's most essential
no time to live
or love
fill the hole with plastic dreams
shiny things and transient gleams
that flicker catch a seasoned eye
and sell your soul an empty lie
fill the hole with feel good times
leave no gaps for thoughts of crimes
leave no gaps to contemplate
what you're eating off of this plate
fill the hole with magic books
fantastic cults' hopeful outlooks
false hopes deny all truth there is
the devout live in ignorant bliss
scraping the barrel of broken hearts
broken bodies from past false-starts
broken lives
broken dreams
all down to our own toxic memes
society is dead they say
it cannot continue long this way
rolling over wasted lives
spinning spinning throwing knives
spiral spiral out of control
with apathy of an empty soul

those four lines are absolutely brilliant. i love the image of plastic dream or an empty lie. it brings sense of fakeness and lie.
even though i feel that this poem could get much better and stronger if you could take few unnecessary lines out of it. sometimes , you don't need to show all your trump cards - let the readers guess them.
