No Goodbyes

I have left but am here still
just in another room without your face
devoid of the colour purple
just subtle grey with a tinge of pink

how I wish to turn back time,
to hold you close, wrap your arms
around me and call you mine
but only wounds are left by regrets

to have done better
to serve to love
with compassion, a druid
waving my wand to cure hurts

no absence will prick my conscience
no dark void will haunt my nights
but how I wish I had loved more
and be worthy of your cape

I bid adieu but not goodbye
to restrain that last farewell
from a sanctuary I found myself
and you, dear friend, I found you too.
