Image for the poem Pink Horizon

Pink Horizon

as the sun yawns and
spreads its morning delight
so your legs open like the
dawn across the horizon
I bow and worship at the
entrance to your smooth temple
my fingers, like shadows,
reach towards your unopened book

I contemplate the path that leads
this wanderer back home
to cradle your truth inside and
know the warmth inside
feel the beauty and covet
the pink outside the periphery
whispers carried on my tongue
would part the sacred pages

you glisten, a curved moon
converses in visions and dreams
tears of your pink supernova is a
journey’s drip from a chalice
a creamy river whose scent
yearns to steal my breath away
as I French kiss your pendant
tenderness floods the senses

the taste embodied in your smooth
mound’s sweet declivity
a snakes flickering brings your
soul so much closer to divinity
your sweet song is released in
wave after shuddering wave
as I gently tease the outer edges
of your pink horizon
