Image for the poem gentle

gentle

I rise high out of myself
touching the aether, I dream
sending my energy heavenward I soar
feeling the air caress my senses

in need of repair
gentle souls cater to my pain
tenderly seeing to my melancholy
they take it in
then carry the heavy weight away

it is an eternal bond
angels of mercy send the bad feelings to the sea of forgetfulness
leaving me with a feeling of weightlessness and hope

I am conscience of the presence of God
propelling me onward on my journey
the path twisted at times can be a burden but revealing
a soul tested and found beautiful

sanctuary among fragrant flowers
blending my passions with the congregation
commingling in the faith

lifting my spirit in joy and hope
still, I rise
